IS PAUL RYAN A RACIST??

IS PAUL RYAN A RACIST??

1. Well . . ., no, he is more dangerous than a racist or any anti-American since the American Revolution and the drafting of the Constitution. He has a powerful role in the Congress as Chairman of the House Budget Committee where all Federal budgets are initiated, he has the bully pulpit of the Congress, he is a devotee and follower of the atheistic, anti-Christian novelist and philosopher Ayn Rand, and he is part of the take over America radical Republican political machine.

Ayn Rand teaches and Ryan believes that the rich should get richer, that greed is good, that you do not have to share your riches with anyone, and government should not be allowed to force you to through taxes. Rand's teachings stand in direct contradiction to those in the Bible. They believe that the poor have to pull themselves up by themselves. You are not your brothers keeper and charity should not be an important value in America.

It is thinking and beliefs like this that have led Ryan to develop his budget plan for America. . .a budget that is now being called the Ayn Rand Budget. It is based on helping the rich through privatization while excluding the middle class and the poor. Ryan and Rand believe that programs like medicare, social security and medicaid are bad government so it is easy to push to eliminate them--forget the impact on people. Government has no right to tax individuals except for national defense and emergencies.

2. Now if you add politics to this philosophy, you have a perfect fit for the--lets call them the Radical Republican Rand Activists (RRRA). You see their agenda being taken by hard line Republicans in Congress, like Eric Cantor, and in some Statehouses, like Wisconsin. Their agenda includes a take over not a take back of America. While racism is a tactic that they will use to achieve their goal, their program is not racist, it is aggressive class and religious warfare which is directed at anyone, regardless of race or ethnicity. I do not believe that this country has experienced this kind of an attempt at major changes in our value system since the country was founded under Judeo/Christian values.

While there is agreement in philosophy and approach smaller government, debt reduction and deficit control between the Tea Party and Radical Republican Rand Activists (RRRA) they diverge on the issue of religion. According to a Gallup poll reported in the June 20, 2011 issue of Time magazine, 92% of Americans believe in God--this includes evangelists and Tea Party types.
So the RRRA are somewhere in the 8% of Americans who do not believe in God. However they are well positioned in big business and in government to make their move to try to take over government and control the economy.

3. Other followers of Ayn Rand that are well known include:
  • Koch brothers
  • Clarence Thomas
  • Rush Limbaugh
  • Ron Johnson
  • Rand Paul
  • Glen Beck
  • Ron Paul
  • Alan Greenspan
  • Andrew Breitbart
  • Mark Sanford
  • Hugh Hefner
  • Mark Cuban
4. So lets take a closer look at Paul Ryan in this context:
  • His politics are shaped by Ayn Rand & Friedrich Hayek and he believes in low taxes, limited government, individual freedom, deficit reduction.
  • He requires all of his staff, including interns, to read Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged which glorifies the rich, CEOs and emphasizes greed as being good. (By implication, altruism and helping others is bad & not required from the rich. So, no revenue enhancements or taxes to help resolve the U.S. deficit--sorry President Obama)

  • Raised in a sprawling, traditional Irish Catholic, 5th generation Janesville family.
  • Ryan family lives in a semi-compound setting. 10 households of the extended family live within a few blocks of the house where they grew up.
  • Mother is an outdoor enthusiast. Took family on hiking & skiing trips to the Rockies.
  • Father was an attorney, grandfather was U.S. Attorney for Western Wisconsin--appointed by President Calvin Coolidge.
  • Father died of a heart attach at 55. Grandfather died of a heart attach at 57. Great grandfather died of heart attack at 59.
  • Paul is a health & exercise devotee. Has climbed 14,000 foot Colorado mountains close to 40 times.
  • Elected to Congress in 1998 at the age of 28. He has a BA in economics from Miami University of Ohio.
  • Married with 3 children

No, not a racist but very much more dangerous.

JOBS or LIES JOBS or LIES JOBS or LIES

Jobs or lies--which one do you think it is?  When Scott Walker took office as Governor of Wisconsin in January, 2011 he committed to add 250,000 new private sector jobs by 2015.  Lets see--thats 4 years or 48 months or--say 5208 jobs per month.  Walker had reported a monthly average of 5700 new jobs for the first 4 months of 2011.  Well ahead of schedule.  However, according to the June 17th issue of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper the Walker administration reported that only 900 private sector jobs were added in May, 2011.  What happened??  The newspaper suggests that this drop follows a national pattern--baloney.

In fact according to a chart provided to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel by the Walker administration, they created just under 4000 new jobs in April, just under 8000 new jobs in March, 3000 new jobs in February, and 11,300 jobs in January, 2011, the month that Walker took office.

This is after the State Department of Workforce Development had reported only 300 new jobs in December, 2010.  What an amazing turnaround.  Where did the great increase in jobs come from?  What are the names of the Wisconsin private sector companies who had the openings?  Who got hired?  Are any openings left?  The unemployment rate for Black males in Milwaukee still stands at 50%.  We need those jobs now!

Governor-we need those jobs--where are they--name the companies?
